CLASSES
This is a class designed to get the fundamentals of working with clay under your belt. It is well suited for beginners or those with beginning level skills. The goal is to introduce you to techniques and develop an understanding of the ceramic making process to help you build the skills and confidence needed to keep creating work.

Welcome to Clay Camp!
Clay camp is a great creative opportunity for kids ages 7-12. Each session has a theme, and we will make 3-4 projects during the week. This year I am offering an ‘under the sea’ theme 6/29-7/2, as well as ‘out of this world’ 7/26-7/30.
Students will be learning various clay building techniques, such as coiling, pinching, slab building, and other sculpting techniques needed to bring their creative vision to life. Students will mostly be hand building, but will also get the opportunity to throw a piece of pottery on the potter’s wheel as well.
We will be glazing their pottery by the end of the week as well. In about 3-4 weeks, all work will be fired in my kiln and ready for pick up.
